The city of Pasadena is located in Southern California. It is famous for hosting the annual Rose Bowl football game and the Tournament of Roses Parade. Pasadena is also the home of many leading scientific and cultural institutions, including the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena City College (PCC) and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
History
Pasadena was founded in 1874 and incorporated in 1886.
Pasadena is a part of the original Mexican land grant named Rancho del Rincon de San Pascual, so named because it was deeded on Easter Sunday to Eulalia Perez de Guillén Mariné of Mission San Gabriel Arcángel.
